Curiosity and exploration abound when young children are offered a range of art materials and objects. Instead of brushes, collect sticks, pods, and leaves from the garden to use as tools with ink. The messy delight that accompanies this investigation allows problem solving to flourish as they guide their own learning, creating beautiful gestural marks in their own language.
